Bruno Brunone received a M.Sc. (1983) and Ph.D. (1987) in Hydraulic Engineering from the University of Napoli ‘Federico II’ (Italy). He is a Professor and Director of the Water Engineering Laboratory (WEL) of the University of Perugia. His main research interests concern the modelling of transients in pressurized flows and transient test-based techniques for fault detection in pipe systems, with particular attention to the experimental aspects. He was the chair of CCWI 2013 and WDSA 2014 Int. Conferences and serves as an Associate Editor of the J. of Hydraulic Engineering and J. Water Resources Planning and Management (ASCE)
