Professor Brahim Benmokrane is a globally recognized expert in structural concrete reinforced with fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP). He holds the prestigious Tier-1 Canada Research Chair and the Senior Industrial Research Chair at the University of Sherbrooke. His pioneering work has significantly influenced FRP-reinforced concrete structures, design codes, and industry standards worldwide. With over 750 publications and 18,500+ citations, he is one of the most cited researchers in his field. He has received numerous awards, including the NSERC Synergy Award and the Julian C. Smith Medal. A Fellow of multiple prestigious societies, he has led groundbreaking FRP applications in bridges, tunnels, and parking structures across Canada, the U.S., and internationally.
